Stacking The Odds In Your Favor When Playing Online Baccarat

Anyone who plays online baccarat is naturally interested in stacking the odds in his favor particularly since there aren’t really a lot of effective strategies and techniques that can be employed in the game. One of the things that you will definitely want to avoid is betting on a tie, as this outcome is fairly rare in baccarat games. This is because the house odds for a tie can be as high as 14%. What this means is that if you bet on a tie and it happens, you will have to pay 14% of your winnings to the casino. Also keep in mind that the house edge for the banker’s hand is somewhere around 1.09%, and that most casinos will typically charge you an extra 5% in the even that you do win that hand. That being said, you do have a good chance of gaining if you bet on the banker’s hand to be the result of a online baccarat game.

Baccarat Strategy

June 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Some people seem to have the impression that Baccarat is a complicated game, when in fact it is one of the simplest card games to play. You do have to understand the rules thoroughly however, in order to become a baccarat expert.

Many other card games have had systems developed for them over the years that can help increase the odds of winning somewhat. Not many systems have been developed for Baccarat however, and the few that exist do not produce consistent results.

The reason for the ineffectiveness of systems developed for Baccarat is that there really is no specific pattern to the game that assures a greater chance of winning, unless you figure out a way to count the cards. Even then, the deck is always shuffled after each hand, which makes counting cards a waste of time.

You can attempt to win more at baccarat by doubling your bet after a hand that you have lost. Say you lose a bet of 5 dollars, you can then bet 10 dollars on the next hand, doubling your bet in each losing hand until you win, in which case you get to keep your total bets. You do have to keep an eye out on the maximum bet on the Baccarat table of course.

How Baccarat Is Played

April 15th, 2008 · No Comments

A game of Baccarat begins by the dealer giving out two cards for the player hand and two cards for the bank hand. A beginning hand with a combined value of either 8 or 9 is called a “natural hand. When one or both of the Baccarat players gets a natural, he or she has to show it to the rest of the table and that particular round of the game is over. If neither player gets a natural, the game goes on with the player hand being played first followed by the banker hand.

There are some other rules that apply. If the player hand comes to a total of 6 or more, the player must stand with those cards only. However, if the player hand comes out to 5 or less, the player must then draw one more card.

For the banker’s part, if his or her cards come out to 7 or more, then her or she must stand with those cards only. If the banker’s cards total 0, 1, or 2, then he or she has to draw a card. However, if the banker’s cards come out to 3, 4, 5, or 6, he or she can only draw a new card if the player previously drew one.
